About Parallel Flow/Counter Flow Heat Exchanger
Parallel Flow/Counter Flow Heat Exchanger :
Heat Exchanger is devices in which heat is transferred from one fluid to another. The apparatus consists of a concentric tube heat Exchanger. Hot water flows through inner tube in one direction only and cold water flows over the inner tube in outer tube. Direction of cold fluid flow can be changed from parallel or counter to hot water so that unit can be operated as parallel or counter flow heat Exchanger. Flow rates of hot and cold water are measured using Rota meters. A magnetic drive pump is used to circulate the hot water from a re-cycled type water tank, which is fitted with heaters and Digital Temperature Controller.

FAQs of Parallel Flow/Counter Flow Heat Exchanger:
Q: What types of fluids can be used with this heat exchanger?
A: This heat exchanger supports a wide range of fluids including oil, water, glycol, steam, chemicals, and various process fluids, making it exceptionally versatile for different industrial applications.
Q: How is the heat exchanger maintained, and what makes tube cleaning easy?
A: Maintenance is straightforward due to the accessible design of tubes, allowing quick cleaning or replacement. This feature helps sustain optimal heat transfer rates and extends the lifespan of the system.
Q: Where can this heat exchanger be installed, and what are the mounting options?
A: It is suitable for floor mounting in either a horizontal or vertical orientation. The configuration can be customized to fit the installation space and process layout of your facility.
Q: When should I choose a single-pass or multi-pass configuration?
A: Selection between single and multi-pass configurations depends on your specific heat transfer needs and allowable pressure drop. Multi-pass systems offer greater heat transfer but may increase pressure loss, making them ideal for applications needing intensive temperature exchange.
Q: What are the benefits of parallel flow versus counter flow designs?
A: Parallel flow is suitable for applications where the temperature approach is not critical, while counter flow ensures a higher heat transfer efficiency and allows the outlet fluid to reach temperatures closer to the heating medium. Your process requirements will guide which is more appropriate.
Q: How is product quality assured before delivery?
A: Every unit undergoes hydrostatic pressure testing as part of our quality assurance, ensuring readiness for high-pressure operation and customer safety upon installation.
