FAQs of Vertical Autoclaves:
Q: How does the vertical autoclave ensure safe operation during sterilization?
A: The autoclave features a radial locking system with a safety release valve to prevent accidental lid opening under pressure. It is equipped with a copper heating element and a low water cut-off system to safeguard against overheating, while the double-walled insulation maintains exterior safety.
Q: What materials compose the chamber and other critical parts of this autoclave?
A: All main componentsincluding the chamberare constructed from SS 304/316 grade stainless steel, ensuring durability and resistance to corrosion. Additional parts like the gasket use high-quality silicone rubber for optimal sealing and longevity.
Q: When should distilled water be used in this autoclave?
A: It is essential to use distilled water for each sterilization cycle as recommended. This prevents mineral deposits and scale buildup, enhancing the performance and lifespan of the heating element and chamber.
Q: Where is this vertical autoclave best applied?
A: This equipment is ideal for hospitals, research laboratories, pharmaceutical manufacturing, and microbiology labs, providing reliable sterilization for diverse laboratory and medical instruments.
Q: What is the sterilization process and how is it controlled?
A: Sterilization is achieved by heating contents to 121C134C at pressures of 1520 psi, using a copper heater. The PID digital temperature controller and programmable timer (099 minutes) allow precise control of each sterilization cycle.
Q: How do users benefit from the programmable timer and PID control panel?
A: The programmable timer and PID digital controller enable users to set accurate sterilization durations and temperatures, improving workflow efficiency, reducing manual errors, and ensuring reproducibility in laboratory protocols.
Q: What is the recommended method for draining water after sterilization?
A: After completing the sterilization cycle, users can easily drain water via the provided drain valve located at the base of the autoclave, facilitating safe maintenance and cleaning.
