Loss on Heating Thin film Oven
We are manufacturer and exporter of heating thin film oven.
Descriptions of Loss Heating thin Film Oven :
This dual purpose oven is designed to determine the loss in weight of bitumen and flux oils (Loss on Heating test) and the effect of heat and air on asphaltic materials (Thin Film test). The unit is heavily insulated and has a double glass door for viewing the test chamber thermometer and samples. Temperature is controlled at 163° C ± 1° C by means of a variable temperature controller and thermostat. Two rotating platforms are supplied with each oven: One accepts 9 standard penetration cups for the loss on heating test, the other accepts two 140mm diameter test pans for the thin film test. The platforms are rotated at 5 to 6 rpm by an external motor.
Accurate Testing for Bitumen Loss on HeatingThis Thin Film Oven is engineered to determine the effects of heat and air on asphaltic materials, ensuring accuracy with its digital thermostat and motorized air circulation. The temperature maintains stability throughout, delivering uniform and repeatable results for laboratory testing of bitumen loss on heating.
Precision Engineering and Robust DesignDouble-walled construction with high-density ceramic wool insulation ensures safety and efficient thermal performance. The stainless steel inner chamber and epoxy powder-coated exterior provide durability and corrosion resistance, making this oven reliable for long-term use in rigorous laboratory environments.
User-Friendly Operation and Safety FocusThe oven features a transparent toughened glass door for easy sample monitoring and a mechanical timer for flexible duration control. Over-temperature protection assures safe operation, while the 8-sample tray capacity supports simultaneous multiple sample analysis, streamlining laboratory workflow.
FAQs of Loss on Heating Thin Film Oven:
Q: How does the Loss on Heating Thin Film Oven ensure even temperature distribution during testing?
A: The oven uses a continuous motorized fan system in conjunction with double-walled construction and high-density ceramic wool insulation to maintain even temperature throughout the chamber, ensuring uniform heating for all samples.
Q: What types of materials is this Thin Film Oven suitable for?
A: It is specifically designed for evaluating the effects of prolonged heat and air on asphaltic or bituminous materials, making it suitable for bitumen loss on heating tests in laboratory settings.
Q: When should I use the Loss on Heating Thin Film Oven in my laboratory process?
A: Use this oven whenever you need to assess the aging characteristics or heat stability of bitumen and asphaltic samples, such as before specifying materials for road construction or quality assurance.
Q: Where can this Thin Film Oven be installed?
A: Thanks to its moderate dimensions and electric power requirements (220V AC, 50 Hz), the LHTFO-01 can be installed in standard laboratory spaces with appropriate ventilation and power outlets.
Q: What is the process for measuring loss on heating with this oven?
A: Simply place up to eight sample pans on the rotating platform, set the desired temperature (ambient to 200C) using the digital thermostat, adjust the mechanical timer as needed (up to 120 minutes), and monitor the process through the transparent door. The oven returns precise changes in sample mass due to heating and air exposure.
Q: How does the Thin Film Oven benefit laboratory testing procedures?
A: With consistent temperature control, safety features like over-temperature protection, simultaneous sample testing, and accurate results, the LHTFO-01 enhances testing efficiency, reliability, and compliance with industry standards for bitumen analysis.
