Coupled with an integrated heating mantle and digital PID controller, users can achieve precise temperature maintenance from ambient up to 150C, all displayed on a real-time digital LCD panel.
User-Friendly Sampling and MonitoringA dedicated sampling port facilitates easy extraction of samples during experiments without halting the process. The apparatus is compatible with pH probes and features an intuitive digital display, making it simple to monitor critical reaction parameters and ensure high-quality results.
FAQs of LIQUID PHASE CHEMICAL REACTOR APPARATUS:
Q: How is the temperature controlled in this chemical reactor apparatus?
A: Temperature is managed through an integrated heating mantle regulated by a digital PID controller, enabling precise adjustments from ambient to 150C. The system displays real-time temperature readings with a resolution of 0.1C and an accuracy of 1C.
Q: What steps should I follow to safely operate this laboratory reactor?
A: Ensure all connections and fittings (SS316/PTFE) are correctly assembled, set the desired stirrer speed and temperature on the digital display, and verify that the external water jacket is ready for cooling. The apparatus includes built-in safety features like pressure relief and over-temperature cutoff to protect users.
Q: When is it appropriate to use the sampling port during experiments?
A: The sampling port allows for convenient sample extraction without interrupting your ongoing reaction. Use it whenever you need to monitor reaction progress or perform intermediate analyses, while observing standard laboratory safety protocols.
Q: Where should the Liquid Phase Chemical Reactor Apparatus be installed?
A: Mount the apparatus on a stable benchtop in a laboratory setting with proper ventilation. Ensure the ambient conditions do not exceed 80% relative humidity and there is access to a standard 220V AC, 50 Hz power supply.
Q: What benefits does borosilicate glass provide for this reactor system?
A: Borosilicate glass ensures excellent resistance to chemical corrosion, high thermal stability, and durability, making it ideal for various chemical reactions involving aggressive reagents or high-temperature conditions.
Q: How does the agitator type impact mixing efficiency?
A: You can use either a magnetic or overhead stirrer to adjust stirrer speed from 100 to 1500 rpm. This flexibility ensures thorough mixing across a broad range of viscosities and reaction types, resulting in uniform product quality.
Q: What is the process for connecting pH measurement probes or digital interfaces?
A: The reactor is equipped with interfaces compatible with both analog and digital devices, allowing easy integration of pH probes or data logging systems for enhanced parameter monitoring and experiment documentation.
