About Isolated Organ Baths
Isolated Organ Baths : ETPL-300
Versatile and complete organ bath. Bath chambers made out of thick transparent acrylic sheet, chemically welded to make them leak-proof. The chamber is measuring 12x9x8 (Depth) and is fitted on a metallic stand. Temperature is achieved by 250 Watts heating elements and is thermostatically controlled. A suitable covered motor with propeller is suspended from top and clamped on to the bath wall with a support on metallic frame ensuring vibration-free operation.
A compact control penal has been provided with independent switch for mains, stirrer and heater. The Neon lamp shall glow when the heater is on. Supplied complete with two sets of glass inner vessels, oxygen tubes, Warming coils, fixit levers and holders. This bath is termed as TWO-UNIT ISOLATED BATH. The unit is workable on 220V AC 50Hz single phase.
Precise Temperature RegulationThe digital thermostat ensures tight control of bath temperature, adjustable between ambient and 60C, with an accuracy of 0.5C. This guarantees reproducibility in experimental results and enables fine-tuning for specific organ or tissue requirements, supported by a bright LED or digital display.
Flexible Chamber OptionsWith 2 to 4 individual chambers, each holding 2550 ml, this organ bath supports simultaneous testing of multiple tissue samples. Chamber materials of borosilicate glass or Perspex offer chemical resistance and visibility, with individual outlet valves for easy drainage.
Comprehensive Laboratory SolutionA complete setincluding reservoir, tubing, power cord, and user manualis provided for effortless setup. Stainless steel mounting stands and powder-coated exterior ensure stability and long-lasting use, while optional magnetic stirrer fosters uniform water circulation for optimized bath conditions.
FAQs of Isolated Organ Baths:
Q: How does the Isolated Organ Bath maintain temperature accuracy during experiments?
A: It incorporates a digital thermostat with an LED/digital display that allows users to set and monitor temperatures from ambient to 60C, maintaining accuracy within 0.5C for reliable scientific results.
Q: What tissues or organs can be studied using this organ bath system?
A: This system is suitable for a wide range of biological tissues and small organs, commonly used in physiological and pharmacological research to investigate drug responses or other stimuli under controlled conditions.
Q: When is water circulation via magnetic stirrer necessary in the organ bath?
A: The magnetic stirrer is optional and recommended when uniform temperature distribution or enhanced mixing within the bath is needed, especially in experiments requiring precise warming and aeration.
Q: Where can the Isolated Organ Bath be installed in a laboratory setting?
A: It is designed for benchtop use in research laboratories, featuring a compact footprint (60 x 30 x 20 cm) and sturdy mounting stand for stability during experimental operation.
Q: What is the process for draining the organ bath chambers after use?
A: Each chamber is equipped with individual outlet valves, permitting effortless and controlled drainage of fluids at the end of experiments, preventing cross-contamination and facilitating cleaning.
Q: How do tissue holders and organ clips assist in experimental setup?
A: Tissue holders equipped with organ clips and thread provide secure positioning of samples within each bath chamber, allowing consistent and reproducible placement throughout the procedure.
Q: What are the benefits of using borosilicate glass or Perspex chambers in this system?
A: Both materials offer excellent chemical resistance, durability, and clear visibility for observing tissue responses, ensuring the integrity of sensitive biological experiments in laboratory environments.
