About GUILLOTINE SHEARS
GUILLOTINE SHEARS
Use: cutting heavy gauge sheet metals, motor driven
Specification:
- Motor driven plate guillotine shear with a cutting capacity of max. 3.0mm sheet thickness (related to 3100 mm working length).
- Computer optimized welded steel design of shear machine frame. The cutting bar driven by crank drive and a noiseless gear motor on each side of the machine.
- Along the machine table there are sheet support covers of stainless steel with a snap lock system. Between the sheet support covers there adjustable front support arms with T-slots, 1000 mm scales and gauge fingers for easy front gauging.
- On each side of the cutting table there are rectangular gauges with stainless steel scales of 1000 mm. During the cut a mechanical hold-down bar with non-skid ebonite lining holds the part.
- All bearings and guide ways are maintenance free.Upper and lower blades consist of high-quality steel with two edges.
Versatile Sheet Cutting CapabilityGuillotine shears excel in processing a wide range of sheet sizes and thicknesses, supporting mild and stainless steel up to 6 mm and 3 mm, respectively. The design integrates adjustable back gauges and interchangeable cutting widths, promoting adaptability for laboratory and industrial requirements.
Precision Meets SafetyEquipped with analog displays for measurement, finger guards, and emergency stop features, these shears place operator safety and cutting accuracy at the forefront. The centralized manual lubrication ensures smooth operation and longevity of core components such as blades and the hydraulic system.
Efficient Operation and DurabilityChoose between foot switch or push button controls, enabling seamless operation tailored to workflow needs. The frame and blade material use high-grade steel, while powder-coated or painted finishes ensure excellent resistance against wear and corrosion, maximizing the lifespan of the equipment.
FAQs of GUILLOTINE SHEARS:
Q: How does the guillotine shear ensure precise cutting for different metal sheets?
A: Precision is assured by the cutting angle of 1.5 to 2.5, analog display for measurements, and high carbon high chromium steel blades, which enable clean cuts across mild and stainless steel sheets. The adjustable back gauge enhances repeatability for various sheet sizes.
Q: What safety features are included in the guillotine shears design?
A: For operator protection, the machine integrates a finger guard and an emergency stop. The safety layout ensures hands and fingers are shielded during operation, and immediate shutdown is possible in emergencies.
Q: When is it suitable to use a manual versus a motorized back gauge on the shear?
A: Manual back gauges are ideal for lower volume or laboratory tasks requiring frequent adjustments, while motorized back gauges suit high-throughput applications where rapid and repetitive settings are needed for consistent production.
Q: Where can these guillotine shears be installed and used effectively?
A: They are designed for installation in laboratories, fabrication shops, industrial plants, and facilities across India, thanks to adaptable size options and semi-automatic/automatic operations that meet diverse user needs.
Q: How does the hold down system contribute to cutting performance?
A: The hydraulic or mechanical hold down system ensures firm clamping of the sheet metal, preventing movement during the cut and maintaining high accuracy in the finished pieces regardless of sheet thickness.
Q: What are the benefits of choosing this guillotine shear model for sheet metal work?
A: Users benefit from highly efficient operation, accuracy up to 100%, easy control options, robust construction using high-grade steel, reliable safety features, and long-lasting blades, making these shears ideal for precision-driven tasks.
Q: Which process is recommended for maintaining the guillotine shear?
A: Routine centralized manual lubrication is essential for smooth movement of components. Periodic checks on the blade quality, hold down system, and electrical connections further ensure consistent performance and operational safety.
