Bunsen burner a heavy base with brass mixing pipe 13mm diameter and  9mm diameter serrated gas inlet tube. bunsen burner is commonly used in academic or professional laboratories where a regulated source of natural gas or propane is available to feed into the burner via rubber tubing. Safely ignite with a sparker or match, and then control flame temperature by adjusting slot openings at the base of the barrel of the burner. Opening the slots allows air and oxygen to mix with the gas to provide a hotter flame, and closing the slots reduces oxygen intake and lowers the temperature of the flame.
