About Bio Safety Cabinet Class II A2
Bio Safe Biological Safety Cabinet ETC-74A2These Class II safety cabinet provide protection for the operator and the environment, with inward airflow away from the operator. Air is filtered before release to the atmosphere.
Negative pressure is maintained within the cabinet, which is suitable for work where no product protection is required.
These cabinets are self contained 100% exhaust containment enclosures. Air from the work zone passes through a two-stage, high efficiency filter system before being exhausted to the room/atmosphere. These cabinets may be installed on standard laboratory benches or on optional support stands.
Personnel and environment protection is provided by inward flow of room air at the work area and high-efficiency particulate air (HEPA) filtration of exhaust air. The inward airflow sweeps aerosols generated during the work process away from the operator into the filter system. A pre-filter protects the HEPA filter from large particles, and the HEPA filter removes particulate contaminates down to sub-micron size from the exhaust air.
Supplied complete as above, with cord and plug, suitable to work on 220V single phase, 50Hz, AC supply.
Material - Inner SS and Outer SS, Inner SS and Outer MS
Available in following sizes :- Work area 4x2x2
Superior Airflow and FiltrationThe cabinet delivers reliable containment through a 70% recirculated and 30% exhaust airflow arrangement. Its HEPA filters remove 99.99% of particles as small as 0.3 microns, ensuring minimal contamination and safeguarding sensitive procedures. This arrangement is ideal for laboratories seeking stringent air quality control.
Comprehensive Safety FeaturesEquipped with interlocking systems for its UV and fluorescent lamps, the cabinet protects users by preventing simultaneous activation. The robust construction includes toughened glass and a perforated SS 304 work table, while the digital display offers real-time monitoring of all operational parameters for added safety and convenience.
Ease of Operation and MaintenanceMicroprocessor controls simplify operation, and the washable pre-filter adds convenience to maintenance routines. With two built-in electrical sockets, flexible exhaust options, and ergonomic design, users benefit from enhanced workflow and long-term performance in varied laboratory settings.
FAQs of Bio Safety Cabinet Class II A2:
Q: How does the Bio Safety Cabinet Class II A2 ensure protection for users and samples?
A: The cabinet utilizes a dual airflow system70% recirculated and 30% exhaustcombined with HEPA filtration rated at 99.99% efficiency for 0.3 micron particles. This design protects users, samples, and the environment from cross-contamination and hazardous agents.
Q: What is the process for maintaining the HEPA and pre-filters in the cabinet?
A: HEPA filters typically require replacement according to laboratory protocols or after a specified period, depending on usage intensity. The provided pre-filter is washable, allowing for routine cleaning to prolong HEPA filter life and maintain airflow efficiency.
Q: When should the UV lamp be used, and how is safety ensured during its operation?
A: The UV lamp is intended for sterilizing the workspace between sessions. The cabinets interlocking system ensures that the UV and fluorescent lamp cannot operate at the same time, reducing the risk of accidental exposure to UV radiation during routine work.
Q: Where can the Bio Safety Cabinet Class II A2 be installed?
A: This model is suitable for laboratories, research centers, and medical environments needing clean air solutions. Its compact dimensions (1200 mm x 700 mm x 1500 mm) allow installation in standard laboratory spaces.
Q: What are the usage benefits of the digital display and microprocessor controls?
A: The digital display provides real-time data on operating parameters, improving user awareness and control. Microprocessor controls add precision and facilitate convenient adjustments, streamlining operational efficiency and safety management.
Q: How does the sliding toughened glass sash and perforated stainless steel work table improve workflow?
A: The sliding toughened glass sash offers easy access while maintaining containment. The perforated SS 304 work table ensures effective airflow distribution, supporting clean air throughout the workspace and promoting efficient, safe laboratory practices.
