About Bio Safe Biological Safety Cabinet
Bio Safe Biological Safety Cabinet ETC-74These Class I safety cabinet provide protection for the operator and the environment, with inward airflow away from the operator. Air is filtered before release to the atmosphere.
Negative pressure is maintained within the cabinet, which is suitable for work where no product protection is required.
These cabinets are self contained 100% exhaust containment enclosures. Air from the work zone passes through a two-stage, high efficiency filter system before being exhausted to the room/atmosphere. These cabinets may be installed on standard laboratory benches or on optional support stands.
Personnel and environment protection is provided by inward flow of room air at the work area and high-efficiency particulate air (HEPA) filtration of exhaust air. The inward airflow sweeps aerosols generated during the work process away from the operator into the filter system. A pre-filter protects the HEPA filter from large particles, and the HEPA filter removes particulate contaminates down to sub-micron size from the exhaust air.
Supplied complete as above, with cord and plug, suitable to work on 220V single phase, 50Hz, AC supply.
Available in following sizes :- Work area 4' x 2' x 2' , 6' x 2' x 2'

FAQs of Bio Safe Biological Safety Cabinet:
Q: How does the Bio Safe Biological Safety Cabinet provide protection during laboratory work?
A: The cabinet utilizes a Class II Type A2 airflow system with a HEPA filter that captures 99.99% of particles at 0.3 microns. This setup, along with a toughened glass sash and safety interlocks, ensures containment of harmful aerosols, safeguarding users and samples alike.
Q: What is the recommended process for using the UV lamp inside the cabinet?
A: The built-in UV lamp is designed for sterilizing the work area before and after use. To operate safely, ensure no personnel are present inside the working area during UV sterilization, and activate the UV lamp through the digital control panel according to established laboratory protocols.
Q: When should I replace the HEPA filter in the cabinet?
A: The cabinet features a filter life indicator that alerts users when the HEPA filters efficiency drops. It is advisable to replace the filter promptly upon receiving this alert or whenever airflow or containment performance appears compromised.
Q: Where can this biological safety cabinet be installed within a laboratory?
A: It can be installed either as a benchtop unit or as a standalone cabinet, depending on your laboratorys spatial layout and workflow requirements. Ensure the installation site has reliable electric supply (220-240 V, 50 Hz) and adequate ventilation.
Q: What operational benefits does the digital display provide?
A: The digital display offers real-time monitoring of cabinet parameters such as airflow speed, temperature (up to 60C), and filter status, enabling users to maintain optimal working conditions with ease and accuracy.
Q: How is the airflow velocity controlled and monitored during operation?
A: The airflow velocity is maintained at 0.45 m/s 20%. The control system automatically regulates the speed, and the digital display allows you to monitor and verify the airflow for consistent sample protection.
Q: What are the advantages of the stainless steel work surface and SS 304 cabinet material?
A: The stainless steel (SS 304) construction offers excellent resistance to chemicals, corrosion, and wear, ensuring a durable, easy-to-clean work surface that supports sterile working conditions crucial for laboratory settings.
